My name is MacKenzie Nicholson and I’m running for Nottingham School Board.
I’m a New Hampshire native who grew up in Northwood and I’ve been raising my two kids here in Nottingham since 2019. Both of my kids attend Nottingham School, so these decisions matter to me as a parent and a member of this community.
I’ve spent 15 years working on state and federal policy that affects kids, families and local communities. I hold a B.S. in Family Studies and a Master’s degree in public policy from the University of New Hampshire. That work has taught me that good school decisions require listening, collaboration and careful planning.
I believe in strong public schools that reflect our shared values and prepare students for the future. I support responsible, long-term planning that respects taxpayers while making sure our school has what it needs to succeed.
I’m focused on what matters: stable classrooms, clear communication and planning ahead. I’ll show up, do the work and solve problems.
I’m running for school board because I believe Nottingham works best when we build on what’s already working and face challenges together. I’d be honored to earn your vote on March 10.
You have my vote!!
